General Registration Events

5K non-competitive Run & Walk: This traditional Komen Race for the Cure is for everyone that wants to run or walk in the fight against breast cancer. This race will take participants along the beautiful waterfront, through downtown Saint Petersburg and along the shady streets of the Old Northeast. Participants will receive a Race package, which includes a T-Shirt and race bib. Breast cancer survivors will also receive a pink T-Shirt and cap as part of their entry package.

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: The 1 mile fun run/walk is a great event for families or individuals that want to participate but the 5K may be a bit too challenging. Participants will receive a Race package, which includes a T-Shirt and race bib. Breast cancer survivors will also receive a pink T-Shirt and cap as part of their entry package.

Proud in the Crowd® is perfect for participants who want to be part of a team and join the fun, but prefer not to run or walk on Race Day! You will receive the same package as runners & walkers and get to participate in all Race day activities.

Sleep in for the Cure® & Kids for the Cure®

Sleep in for the Cure®: If you'd rather snooze than lace up your shoes, then Sleep In for the Cure® is perfect for you! If you can't join us on Race day, you can still help in the fight against breast cancer by registering to Sleep In for the Cure® and fundraising. This is a great solution for those who aren't morning people, are planning to be out of town or live a long distance from the Race site. Since the Komen Florida Suncoast Affiliate spans 6 counties, not everyone can make the trip. Sleep in for the Cure® is the ideal way for you to participate in the race without the long drive. Get excited, create a team of Sleep In participants! Compete for prizes like any other team and help find a cure for breast cancer while catching forty winks!

Kids for the Cure®: All children are welcome to be participate in the other events and be part of a team, but Kids 10 & under not ready to run or walk in the main races can participate in the Kids for the Cure®; a series of dashes by age group and each child receives a prize.

We're Tinkled Pink!

Every event has port-a-potties, but ours aren't ordinary potties. Komen Race for the Cure potties are decorated by teams, groups of friends, school groups or anybody that wants to show the world they are Tinkled Pink to find a cure for breast cancer. More details here.
