Extra Mile Awards

Go the Extra Mile and help us fundraise. Invite family, friends and co-workers to sponsor your participation in the Race with a tax deductible donation and receive an award for your efforts.

Raise $100 or more and you will receive a commerative pin plus a category award. Categories are based on funds raised.

• $100 - $249
• $250 - $499
• $500 - $999
• $1,000 - $2,499
• $2,500 - $4,999
• Over $5,000

All donations raised through October 11, 2011 will be counted toward your award. We recommend you use our safe and secure online system to fundraise, but offline fundraising is also acceptable. If you fundraise offline, all donations must be postmarked by October 11, 2011 to be included in your fundraising total. Pledges can be turned in at the donations tent on Race day. Be sure that you name and/or team name is written on your pledge form. Without your name and/or team we are not able to properly give credit. Please allow 6-8 weeks after October 11, 2011 for delivery of awards. If mailing pledges, please send only checks or money orders, no cash please.

In addition to the Extra Mile Pledge Award, the top 2 fundraisers will receive Roundtrip air transportation on American Airlines or American Eagle to any destination in the contiguous US. Limit (1) ticket per household.

Individual runner awards

Individual Awards will be given for top finishers in both the 10K and 5K competitive races. You must be registered for a chip timed, competitive event to be eligible for an individual runner award. The following awards will be given for each event:

• Top 50 male & top 50 female finishers
• Top 3 overall and top 3 survivors
• Top Master (40 - 49)
• Top Survivor Master (40 - 49)
• Top Grand Master (50+)
• Top Survivor Grand Master (50+)

Team Awards

Team awards will be given in the following categories:

1. Grow Getter - The Grow Getter award recognizes the teams that have grown the most year to year. To ensure all teams have an equal chance to win these awards a percentage calculation is used.
   • Grow Getter < 40 Team members last year
   • Grow Getter > 40 Team members last year
2. Top Extra Mile Fundraising Team*
3. Largest Team in the following categories
   • Large Business (500+ employees)
   • Medium Business (100-500 employees)
   • Small Business (Less than 100 employees)
   • Healthcare
   • Community/Family/Social
   • School
   • New Team
4. Best Team Banner - judged Race morning
5. Best Team T-shirt - judged Race morning
6. Most Team Spirit - 2 minute video must be submited prior to Race day
